Hello!
We are trying to see how cinnamon or other herbal infusions in various concentration will affect the glucose levels. Since we cannot use human subjects, we decided to use plants or foods. Will the sugar metabolism kit work if we mix the foods with cinnamon, for example? Will it be able to measure how the glucose levels are affected before and after we water a plant for several days with, say, a cinnamon solution. What are your recommendations. Thank you! We are pressed for time!

Re: Sucrose & Glucose & Fructose,
Hi Tanjuls,
The sugar metabolism kit should work but keep in mind that it will measure only free glucose, so I'm not sure how effective it will be in plants (since glucose is stored as starch - a polysacharide).
What piece of the plant are you going to use for your measurements?
