Building your own tool for identifying DNA

Post by deleted-421107 »

Hello!

For this project it says that we need agarose powder. I can't find that anywhere! The only thing I have found is agarose gel. Is this basically what we are making and can I use it instead of agarose powder?
Thanks!

Also: Is there something that you can use instead of agarose?

Hi NataliaCul,
You should be able to get that through the Bio-Rad Laboratories listed under the material tab. You may also check with your biology / chemistry teacher as well as they may already have this for your school lab.

Otherwise, amazon also carry these. Good Luck!
