I'm interested in conducting a science project related to melatonin and its relationship with breast cancer. Brigham and Women's Hospital reports that "Researchers at BWH were among the first to report that nightshift workers may have an increased risk of developing breast cancer. Decreased levels of melatonin- a hormone linked to sleep patters- is believed to be a possible cause. Lowere melatonin levels are associated with a higher risk of breast cancer."
Information about melatonin be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melatonin
Please help!!! Thanks.
Melatonin is a hormone found in all living creatures. The role of melatonin and the pineal gland regulates sleep-wake cycles (circadian rhythms aka biological clock).
