Dear mr/mrs who I hope will answer my question,
My name is Sean Fitzgibbon I attend mercy mounthawk in Ireland I am in 2nd year(grade8) and I was wondering is there any chemical or enzyme I could add to alcohol with rohypnol in it,that can either break down the roofie or have the drink change colour.
My experiment is to find away to Prevent someone spiking someone's drink.
I know this is a sensitive issue but I would like to combat this as there are really sad stories of women who have been killed or raped because of someone adding rohypnol into the drink and I would like to help prevent more of this .
So please if you read this can you reply with the name of the chemical or enzyme that can either warn you your drink has been spike by changing colour or the chemical or enzyme that can break down the rohypnol.i have found a few reagents that change colour but I would really prefer a flavourless chemical or enzyme as I do not want the taste to change
And if I was able to test was the substance broken down in the alcohol by enzyme or chemical how would i.
Regards seán.
