Agar for testing drinking water

Post by deleted-435871 »

What agar can I use for testing drinking water for an experiment (tap water from different places)?
I cannot use R2A agar or plate count agar (cannot purchase), but which one should I use from nutrient agar, tryptic soy agar, or luria broth agar?

Hi Omster,

Nutrient agar should be used for testing drinking water.

Thanks!
