hey science buddies I'M just finishing up my school science fair and i'm confused? :?: what do you call something that could mess up your expariment ex. im tessting will diffrent brands of baseballs fly farther then others and im launcing them out of a homemade catipault. a facter that could change my expreiment is wind what would i call the wind which would chanage my expreiment

Hello benthebeast!

I believe the word you are looking for is "confounding variable." Essentially, confounding variables are factors in an experiment which could also change your dependent variable and result in biased results.
