What can make a planet's vegetation blue?

Post by deleted-449321 »

I have an upcoming stem science fair project and I'm writing a science fiction. The said fiction is based on another planet in which I am in the process of creating via Unity to present. I purposely used blue vegetation, along with other colors along its spectrum like purple, violet, etc. I want to be as descriptive as possible and request that if it's possible, what would allow for grass and shrubbery to reflect blue?

Hi AnthonyScifi,

Here's a wikipedia link describing blue pigments and dyes, as well as what blue color is (wavelength, etc.) -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue#Pigments_and_dyes

You could create a new molecule though, after all, you are writing scifi.
