Viral Videos

I am doing a science fair project on how videos, blogs, and other forms of social media go viral. I am wondering how I translate my information into actual statistics. Are there any ways I can do that?

What is the hypothesis for this project?

There is a semi-related project at Science Buddies. While this project does not match your topic, it does give examples of the kinds of data that can be gathered and converted to charts or other data visualizations.

For you to determine how you will chart or graph your data, you first have to clearly identify what data you are gathering.

My hypothesis is that viral videos are most often funny and are "endorsed" by a famous person.

Going back to your original question, can you clarify what data you are gathering? If you are doing an experiment, then you will need to have identified your variables and be prepared to track/gather data as part of your project. In order for anyone at Ask an Expert to help with your question, we will need to know more about how you are doing your project.
