How can we separate citric acid from hand soap and/or how to calculate the amount of citric acid in hand soap?

This forum is for students (and teachers) in grades K-12 who are doing science projects. It sounds like looking at the components of hand soap could be developed into a science project. It would help the experts here provide specific help if you could describe the science project you have in mind.
