Extracting Energy from Grass

Post by deleted-494362 »

I growing three different grasses, and I want to be able to extract energy from them. Is there a way to turn it into to biomass, or to heat water with the grasses like wheatgrass for example?

Hi libowwowil,

There is a Science Buddies project described at the following link that seems to fit with your interests:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... le#summary

In this project you make a compost bin and use the heat generated by decomposing hay or grass to heat water. The information given in the background section of the project may be helpful in your research even if you choose a different direction for your project.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.
