I am currently trying to find a project idea and I am researching the current data on the deuterium found in the universe. I have access to the data that the FUSE (Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer) has obtained. My question is what kind of a project could I do with this information?

There is quite a bit of interest in deuterium in the scientific world, so data about the isotope is pretty easy to come by. It's my guess that by reading through some of the information that is out there you might be inspired to choose a project that really interests you. Things to consider:

- What is it used for?

- Why is it so important?

- Are there any similar elements or isotopes out there? If not, what makes this one so unique?

- Why is the naturally occurring rate so low?

- How is it formed in the first place?

I think you get the idea. It's often the process of answering questions about a thing that inspire great projects.
