I need to know how to store an opened banana for my science experiment.
I am doing an experiment (From Bitter to Sweet: How Sugar Content Changes in Ripening Fruit) and how can i store it without effecting the ripening process
I need help fast because the ants are coming very fast

Put the banana into a plastic freezer bag and zip it sealed. This should keep out the ants and still allow the banana to ripen, which it will do quickly if it is in a warm room.

If the ants are so tiny that they can get through the bag's seal, you can put the banana inside a jar with a tight fitting lid. That should keep them out.

There are also ways to keep food on a dish in a pan surrounded by water but my experience is that the ants just float across and get the food anyway, so sealing it up is the only way i know to keep them off.
