Hey CBLOCH,
The formula for calculating IMA is IMA = (effort distance)/(resistance distance).
In terms of a pulley system, your resistance distance would be how high the weight goes off of the surface after the weight attached to the other end is released. The effort distance will be the distance from the top of the pulley system to the weight you released to move the other weight.
