Hii
I am doing the sintilating scents experiment for my sci fair. But there is a problem. I am on travels for vacation and when i come back to my home and do the experiment, the time takes too long and passes the deadine for conclusion. What can i do as i am stuck with this topic for this years sci fair and is there a way to make the procedure go faster.
Yours truly
Midhat

Re: Science fair deadline problem
Hi Midhat,
I'm assuming that you are working on the project described here:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... me#summary
The procedure indicates that it takes a total of 9 days to prepare and process each trial of perfumes. Most of this time is due to the perfume aging step (#15 in the procedure). I don't see a way to shortcut this.
As indicated in step 19, a total of three trials is suggested. But the trial starts are staggered so the entire perfume production takes 12 days. So you could shorten the project a by a couple of days by leaving out one or two of the perfume trials.
I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
