I searched in the google about "why do the daytime sky looks blue? " and it appears that it's caused of the short wavelengths of blue colour make it scatters more than the long wavelengths of red colour .But I'm still confused "why do the afternoon and dawn sky looks rather violet or purple when their wavelengths is shorter than blue? "
