Graphite, Iron, and Magnets

Post by deleted-623262 »

I have two questions:

1. Can graphite conduct electricity if a magnet is passed through it?

2. Can iron produce a electric current when it loses it's magnetism to a magnet?

Hi lovewd19,

Are you working on a science project about electromagnets? If so, you might want to post again with some details about your project.

Science Buddies has an excellent tutorial on electricity, magnetism and electromagnetism that you may find helpful:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... troduction

Also, there are several related projects that may be of interest. One example is here:

I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
