Project not Working?

Post by deleted-606880 »

I've followed all the instructions on the project yet the red LED won't turn on no matter the Potentiometer is twisted. Everything is in place, the clear LED is working fine, I have the proper environment. The first part of this worked perfectly but yet during this it won't work. I am doing the "Building a Circuit to Detect Ripe Produce"

Hi Tammy,
I am sorry to hear that this part of the experiment is not working. To troubleshoot this, I would like to suggest that we isolate the circuits into a couple of parts.

For the first part, can you put the the red LED in place of the clear LED and see if the Red LED also light up? If it does, this tells us that the LED is working and we can put the circuit back the way it was and proceed to the next test.

For the second part, let's confirm that you have the wiring correct. Can you post a picture of your completed circuit?

Depending on the results, we can start looking at the other components to see what else may be causing the problem.

Thanks!

If you have trouble uploading a photo, you can email it to [email protected], and we will make sure Willey sees it.

(If you save the image as a PDF, it should be able to be attached to the post.)
