Finding results for my science fair project
hi i am actually making a box that shields electromagnetic waves using aluminium and copper surrounding whole box. but i am confused how to measure the results like how much radiation the box is stopping.i figured out that i can measure using dosimeter.but i am struggling how to find the radiation inside the box as the box is covered if i open it the radiation leaks inside and my results will alter.please help me with this..

Hi harshasatyav,
What is your source of electromagnetic waves? If it's small enough you might try putting the source inside the box and make your measurements from outside the box.
There's a Science Buddies project at the following link that may be helpful. It describes measurements of electromagnetic radiation from a cell phone.
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... on#summary
In this project a radio frequency (RF) meter is used to make the measurements. You may be able to use the test procedure for your project.
I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
