Research paper help

Post by deleted-655401 »

My daughter is doing her SF project on what which activator (contact solution, liquid starch, borax) make the stretchiest slime. I am having difficulty guiding her in what topics to research for her paper. Current questions are: what is an activator? What ingredients make slime? Where do I go from here?!
Thanks.

Hi,

I'm assuming that you're working on the project described here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ty#summary

You might want to add several more questions for your background research plan. There is a list of terms and concepts in the background section of the project description. These could be used to make great questions for background research. A review of the articles listed in the bibliography will raise a few more questions. And you might want to look into how “stretchiness” (or other properties) might be measured.

The Science Fair Project guide has information on background research that may be useful to you:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... earch-plan

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ir-project

I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
