Bubble-ology

Postby mhart22 » Sat Apr 06, 2019 9:06 pm

Hello! We are gathering supplies for my daughter to complete this project (Bubble-ology) at school, and I'm wondering if using tap water is acceptable for this or is it vital to use distilled water. Thank you!

Hi - Distilled water is recommended because it has no impurities; impurities in the water can make bubbles pop more easily. However, in the experiment, as long as your student is consistent with the materials (either use distilled or tap throughout), you can use tap. (If you run into problems with the bubble making using tap water, you might then want to try distilled instead. It is readily available at grocery stores.)
