Waste cleaning project

Hello, I think about starting up a campaign/project regarding waste management and would like to hear the options of other individuals This is a global problem - the garbage thrown outsides is often scattered at different places in different areas, many of these places are far from the main roads, therefore not visible or approachable by cleaners, if these scattered waste could be gathered locally at one specific place – it would be already a great progress and one step forward for cleaning that area. The main idea of the project is to find the smart and effective solution for this problem (Please take in consideration that it is not a project regarding waste management or recycling, even though that it can be linked to them) The majority of the garbage consists of plastic that takes centuries to break down/dissolve, so the focus will be on plastic One of the ideas that came to my mind – to have a plastic/garbage recognizing software that will work with the satellite and some kind of plastic magnet (Did quick research and I guess it exists) attached to the drone that will fly to the recognized areas and gather the scattered garbage at one place, the next steps and cleaning the area would be easier, the notification can be sent to the group of local cleaners and the will visit the place I imagined the gathering project like this – the magnet will be turned on to attach the garbage firstly to itself and afterwards turned off so that the collected garbage will be dropped at one place I’m sure there are millions of people on this planet who are concerned about this problem, I know that it sounds abstract, but I am pretty much practical and down to earth and honestly believe that the solution can be found We are living in great time when almost everything can be accomplished, please share your thoughts, Thanks a lot in advance

An automated way to collect waste plastic material certainly seems useful. But I don't think you could use the “plastic magnet” as you mentioned. Polymers (plastics) have been developed that have magnetic properties under certain conditions. These do not attract other plastic materials and could not be used to collect waste plastic as you describe.
