Hi, I need to find a research paper or article or anything of such nature that determines the rate law/expression of the reaction between baking soda and vinegar? If not, then baking soda and water? If not, then, baking soda and HCl?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Craig13,
You should be able to find quite a lot of information about the reaction between baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and vinegar (acetic acid) with an online search. A couple of examples follow.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.

That wasn't really what I was looking for. I was looking for experimentally determined rate laws of the reaction but thank you for replying!

Hi Craig13,
Acid-base reactions are extremely fast (very high rates) and difficult to study. You may need to visit a library with access to chemistry journals to find what you're looking for. The following links have some background information that may be useful:
https://www.vanderbilt.edu/langlab/Publ ... (1997).pdf
https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/article ... ivAbstract
Good luck with your literature search.
