Science Fair Help!!!

Post by deleted-750544 »

I chose astronomy as my science fair project and I want to do something with the moon. My teacher says that if we can google the project and it comes up then it’s not good enough. I had the idea to relate plants with the moon phases, but I don’t know how i can make that a harder project or add more elements to it so it’s challenging. Please help ASAP!

Hi lexi1224,

Do you have a research question or hypothesis for your project idea? If not you might want to review the Science Buddies project guide. If has information about the project question, background research and constructing a hypothesis that should be helpful:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ience-fair

If you want to consider some other project possibilities, Science Buddies has quite a few astronomy projects here:

https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... /astronomy

You may find a project listed that you can modify to meet your needs.

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.

lexi1224,
Unfortunately, farmers have been planting based on the lunar calendar for millennia, so I doubt that relating plants to the moon would be something unique. Hopefully the astronomy projects mentioned above by norman40 will give you some inspiration. Maybe try relating moon phases to insect or animal activity?
