I don't know if it was me or not, but I did trial 1 and it was horrible. The first trial took over 7 hrs. I stopped at 10 degrees C. I never really saw a statistically significant change in the rubber band length. I do not want to do the other trials if they will take that long. Is that what happened it your lab? I found a more elementary experiment to test the same concept. I just wanted to see if you could explain what went wrong.

Hi Salsalover24,
What were you using as your weight? The density of your weight may have some effect. Also, I have some concerns about your boiling water. It took 7 hours to heat it up by 10 degrees? Can you tell me more about how you heated your water?
