Magnet strength
can I use the 1/2 x 1/2 Inch Neodymium Rare Earth Cylinder Magnets N48 in the magnetic linear accelerator science project? I noticed in one of your other post that the magnet in the kit is N35. Would it be a problem if I used the N48?

Re: Magnet strength
Hi Daviesfamily,
I'm assuming that you're working on the project described here:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... le#summary
I could not find a magnet specification in the materials list or the kit offered for this project. The N48 magnet should work but it is stronger than the N35 magnet. Be sure to follow the safety guide provided in the experimental procedure.
I hope this helps. Please ask again if you have more questions.
