Help I can't get my project to work

Post by tata »

I followed the direction and my project doesn't work. I am trying to do the "shake up some energy." The light doesn't want to light up. :D

Post by soundwave990 »

hello there

what is it that you are trying to shake energy out of? can you please add a little more specifications to what you are trying to accomplish? for example is it shaking a flashlight to produce energy to make a light?
I hope this helps and good luck with your project

I assume you are talking about the science buddies project at;
http://www.sciencebuddies.com/mentoring ... ?from=Home

Can you tell us exactly what you did? Step by step? [This is always a good idea when asking for help- the more info you can provide, the better the chance we can help!]

And, are you sure you used an LED and not a regular light bulb? As the instructions say "Because the voltage is very low, there is not enough energy to power a traditional light bulb". Secondly, are you sure you are using strong magnets? I don't think you can use regular magnets you have around the house- you need strong ones.

Write back and tell us more information and I'm sure we can get your light to work!

Thank you for responding
Yes I used a LED light and a stong magnet from the magnetix set that my mom had to buy just for the magnet and it didn't work.
My project is due tomorrow so I decided to do another one on plants.

But thank you for trying to help.

Sorry you couldn't get it to work. I had to make a motor once, and it turned out my wire wasn't insulated... Lots of things can go wrong even with a simple experiment. Hope the plants work better.
