Just a Quick Chemistry Question

Post by deleted-841702 »

Hey! I was wondering if it would be possible to layer salts for a fire, light them and have the flame change over time, or if it would be possible to produce multiple colors in the same flame.
Bit of a mundane question, but thank you for looking at my post!

Hello,

Are you thinking of doing this project on flame colors? https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... inbow-fire

I think this could be an interesting hypothesis to test, especially the question if multiple colors can be produced in the same flame! I believe both of your hypothesis are likely true and you might find researching how fireworks are made to learn more about changing flame colors.

Good luck,

Audrey
