“ Is There a Whole Lot of Shaking Going On? Make Your Own Seismograph and Find Out!” Project confusion.

Good evening , I was planning on doing a science project labeled “ Is There a Whole Lot of Shaking Going On? Make Your Own Seismograph and Find Out!” regarding earthquakes. In the description there was no link to any purchasable kits for the project nor a tutorial video. It said that the video was private and I really need the video to work if it going to complete the design before January. Thank you so much and I hope this reaches you well.

Greetings!
Here is the video link on youtube. Based on the video, all of the supplies used are basic household items, so you shouldn't need to purchase a kit. Best of luck!

This video, which was from a PBS series a while back, is no longer available. The video, however, was not a walk-through of the project. The procedure for this project guides you in thinking through and conducting the experiment. You can still do that without watching the story about a similar experiment. Using the diagram provided, you will build a similar seismograph to use for your testing.

There is no kit for this project. The materials list describes the materials you will need, and you will need to take that list and gather supplies locally.
