Bioengineering a kidney project question

I wanted to choose this science project because I thought I would be making a false kidney but it’s not about that at all I was very disappointed. Is there any project that I am able to chemically engineer something or is there any project on forensics that actually uses true criminal justice and crime evidence or something like that so that I can get a chance to actually experience my dream of being someone in the criminal justice profession.
