Post by CRIS »

MY PROJECT IS "DIRTY MONEY" I HAVE DONE THE RESEARCH - NOW I NEED TO KNOW THE BEST WAY TO DETERIMINE THE GERMS OR BACTERIA ON MONEY.

I PLAN TO COLLECT MONEY FROM THREE LOCATIONS - A BANK, A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT AND A GROCERY STORE.

Hi Cris,

You might want to see the 'positive and negative controls' thread to get some ideas. One way to test bacteria is to take a sample and inoculate it on an agar plate. Incubate it in 37 degrees C, and then 24 hours later, record your results. We did a similar project in a school lab - testing to see the different bacteria from broth that was exposed to air for 6 days. After incubation, we looked to see how many different bacteria were in the broth by examining the different shapes and sizes.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Sareena
