The internet didnt help w/ my ? can you?

STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Istinkatscience_kitty93,
Try this website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascade_reaction. Wikipedia or an actual encyclopedia is always a good first choice to look something specific like that up, as long as you're certain you're spelling it right.

I have to agree, Wikipedia is a bit steep with the definition.
Think of the domino effect—you knock one domino over and all the others lined up behind it get knocked over in a sequence.
Now imagine that you have several rows of dominos and each row has several rows beyond that. That would be a cascade reaction—one change causes a change in many dominos or in the case of chemistry or biochemistry many molecules.
In living organisms one tiny change can set off a chain reaction of many more changes throughout the organism.
This is how hormones work.
Hope that helps.
