Dear operator
I have a queasen on the you nailed it project. First queastion is dhow did you measure the force of how hard you hit the hammer on the nil. If you can answer me please answer as fast as you can. Thank you.

Re: you nailed it.
Hi,
This project does not measure the force that the hammer hits the nail with. Measuring impact forces is difficult. As written, the project instructions have you count how many strokes it takes to hammer in the nail. However, you could easily calculate the potential energy* of the hammer, and then multiply that by the number of strokes to find the total energy required to drive the nail in.
*If you aren't sure how to calculate potential energy, there are many online physics resources that will give you the equation and examples.
