science project topic help

Post by skbisla »

OK, So i am planning on doing a science project for an upcoming science fair. I need some help getting some ideas for what to do it on. I want to do an engineering project relating to environmental engineering. I originally wanted to do something like design a cost efficient, energy efficient house. But my teacher advised that i should do something where i can actually make a working model. does anybody have any ideas for what i can do?
Thank You

skbisla,

Here we have some science fair topics in Science Buddy, and they are related to environmental engineering.

It is already a good start that you have chosen the domain of your project, which is environmental engineering. However, the reason why we are here is not supposedly to choose a science project topic for you. We provide you information and ideas when you have faced problems on your present project. Why don't you choose a specific topic and then do some research about your project online or in the library. After this if you still have questions which are confusing you, we are welcome to answer you as possible as we can.

Because designing a whole house is too ambitious for this science fair, how about doing some part of a house? - windows, lights, irrigation systems. . . there are lots of possibilities.

I agree with ChrisG's idea, which is to do a part of the house. For example, you can demonstrate how your kitchen work efficiently. Solar power, the use of refrigerator, the increase of the heat when you are cooking(which may decrease the efficiency of your refrigerator) are pretty good subjects to think about. You have a nice idea. If you have decided to do the house project, we can talk about your project here if you have any further question. I wish my opinion can help you.

Good luck on your project!
