Question about Stem project: How does the number of parachutes affect terminal velocity

Post by naluh »

Is the part at the end of the page where it says to calculate the theoretical terminal velocity necessary for completing the whole stem project?

Hi - if you are doing this project for a school science fair, you should ask your teacher whether theoretical calculations are required. You can certainly do the experiment and compare the number of parachutes to the experimentally determined terminal velocity without also doing the calculations to predict the theoretical terminal velocity. If you are having trouble doing the calculations, we can help you with them here if you have specific questions.
