Adaptive Switch Project

Post by nbrown_70 »

We have students who would like to build an adaptive switch. Where can we find the full instructions? This is a project that has an asterisk in the title.

Hi,

Projects with an asterisk in the title are "abbreviated" ideas that do not have full instructions. However, if your student wants to use a micro:bit, then this project is extremely similar and they could use the same code. They can change the mechanical design of the switch to whatever they want, like the other designs shown in the adaptive switch video:

If they want to use an Arduino, I would recommend our How to Use an Arduino series, particularly video #5 about using a button. The code would be the same, they would just be connecting their adaptive switch to the breadboard instead of the tiny pushbutton kind.

Hope that helps!
