I hope all is well with this project!

In brief, independent variables refer to variables being changed/manipulated, while dependent variables are categorized as the response to this change. For example, in an experiment meant to explore how different colored lights affect plant growth, the independent variable would be the light color. In contrast, the dependent variable would be the growth, or height, of the plant. This article (linked here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... /variables) explains these variables in more detail.

In this project, you will compare two different virus models (the independent variable/variable being changed) and evaluate how these models respond after being placed in soapy water (how it affects the sprinkles).

Good luck with the project! Feel free to reach out with any questions!
