Mirror Maze
Is there an answer key to the maze? Just want to have something to guide with in my class tomorrow.

Re: Mirror Maze
Hi - There isn't a single way to solve the maze. Using what they learn in the lesson, students are asked to design a solution for using mirrors to navigate the maze, but this can be accomplished in more than one way.
As part of the reflection on the activity, they think about how many surfaces they used and if there are ways to reduce or improve that. (See Step 9 in the "Explore" section.)
We would love to hear how it goes with your students.

Re: Mirror Maze
Gotcha, I assumed as much. I’ve tested it at home but only with 4 mirrors to start. The foil does not work at all. I think that is what worries me. I have plenty of mirrors. Either way I think the lesson will be fine even if I just use mirrors.
I teach a homeschool stem class for middle school. Hands down, my class is the most popular with up to 15 students. We always use a lot of Science Buddies!

Re: Mirror Maze
Hi - This is a really fun hands-on experiment.
If you have plenty of mirrors, that will work. We haven't had any reports of problems using foil, but I am passing along your feedback for our team. What happened with the foil when you tried it? Was the room fairly dark? Did you flatten it as much as possible?
Let us know if you have additional questions as you prepare for the class.
That is great to know that our resources are helpful for you and your students. Are there other activities you have found especially engaging with the STEM class?
