Hello!

If you do the Solar Updraft Tower project, your main observation will be that warm air rises when heated by the sun, creating an updraft that can spin a pinwheel or fan. You’ll notice that the tower works better in direct sunlight, and that using dark materials or increasing the tower’s height makes the airflow stronger. This simple experiment helps demonstrate how solar energy can be converted into motion using basic principles of convection and heat absorption.
