Tempering Chocolate

Post by mwitthoeft »

My student would like to turn this into a Science Fair project but we are having a hard time determining what we would be testing. Could you help with this?

Hi there,

The experimental procedure for this project is totally up to you—you get to choose what you would like to explore regarding chocolate. One potential project idea you could explore is taking specific pre-made pieces of chocolate and heating them up to specific temperatures, then gathering data based off characteristics of the chocolate: it could be with how brittle the chocolate becomes, how easy it is to peel off of the baking sheet, how hard or soft it is, or how good it tastes. It is entirely up to you. Hope this helps.
