Dissolution rates of different types of pain relievers.
Hi,
I don't know what happened but all of a sudden i can't open my topic posts any more of page 2, neither can i add a post on. Well i don't know if anyone replied to me yet but I am wondering if anyone here knows french. I am in late french immersion and i was wondering if you can read over my proposal especially the procedure incase i need to add anything. I would really appreciate it if you could. As for the *pre-test* zzzzdoc advised me to do i previously mentioned that it didn't work so i don't know how much fluid i should put. I did put on my proposal 125 ml and to get about 1125 ml of HCl and 1125 ml of Water. I am also wondering about how i can make my project any more creative or interesting or different because this project has been done several times! Please reply to me if anyone knows french. I would really appreciate it!
Thanks
Hayam

Not enough French for Science
Sorry, but I don't have enough French to help with a science project.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Hope this helps,

We here ran in to the same problem with the message board. Someone is working on fixing it. I think you are the last person to post there- when I got a notification you replied, I was unable to see it.hhamodat wrote:I forgot to mention that I have to hand my proposal in TOMORROW! So i'm kind of in a panic so I would really like it if I got replied today! Thanks,
Hayam
I don't speak french, but I will post a message to the other experts letting them know that you have opened a new thread. I don't think it is necessarily appropriate that people edit your proposal. However, if you posted an english outline of what you've put in, I'm sure many people would be happy to give suggestions.
What do you mean that you couldn't get zzzzdoc's experiment to work? You couldn't get a crushed pill to dissolve in any amount of water? I find that unbelievable... I've dropped uncoated pills in the sink by accident and they have dissolved rather rapidly.

Okay, your old thread is fixed, so be sure to check both. I'd move discussion back to that one, since it has a bunch of comments. The problem was with a tag not being closed, so if you use formatting like the smilies or the bolds, preview and make sure they work. Apparently, sometimes they don't and then it crashes everything.
I will post some comments to your questions back on the other thread.

I am so happy! I just did the pre-experiment and I got excellent results. I tried it with warm water and I tried different amounts of water and put it in a ziploc bag and squished the bag repeatedly. I tried it with 125 ml, 30 ml, and 10 ml and they the first two dissolved at around the same time but the 10 ml dissolved even faster! Except for all there were particles because of the filler. So now i can do it with 10 ml and it won't matter! So now all i need to focus on is knowing the percentage of the inactive ingredients. They only took about 4 minutes and 20 seconds to dissolve- that's really good. Thanks so much zzzzdoc and louise! Your information really helped me- i really appreciate it. I tried calling 2 companies and they said that i was out of the area to call. By the way, is there any luck in a french speaking expert? It's not that important but i would really appreciate it! I still can't open my other topic- but I can tell if I got any replies!
Thanks a bunch everyone!

Glad it worked! I just posted in the other thread, so it is fixed. Try closing your browser and going back in.hhamodat wrote:I am so happy! I just did the pre-experiment and I got excellent results. Yes, we were all struggling to be able to get to that thread. It crashed as we all found out.
Glad you figured out that it only takes a small quantity of water to dissolve the substances. Far less than I would have guessed. And yes, the filler is everywhere in the solution. For a medicine to get into the body, it just has to get out of the pill. What happens to the pill / capsule after that just isn't important at all. It can leave the body intact, and so long as the active ingredient is released, all is well.
Never spoke French, so can't help there. Thankfully, Terik can.

This is my proposal:
But:
Maintenant tu as 2250 ml de solution.

Hayam,
It looks good. Your tenses all seem to agree, your subjects and verbs seem to agree, and your genders seem to match. Of course, I'm not a French teacher nor a native speaker, so I can't ensure that it is 100% error free, but I do not see any glaring mistakes.
Everything makes much more sense to me now. I just have one question: are you going to be using HCl of vinegar, because your procedure says "HCl (or vinegar)."
You are lucky to be particpating in an immersion program!

Thank you sooo much Terik for looking over my proposal. I am going to use HCl but Caroline Thorn told me to add vinegar just incase someone can't find HCl. I handed in my proposal and so i'm looking foward to my marks. Is your first language french? It's the third for me and i'm really glad i got in french immersion this year! Thanks again!
Thanks,
