I am doing the Great Egg Drop Challenge in my Physical Science class right now and I have a plan for it that I am unsure about. I haven't started to make the project myself yet but here is my plan, I am wrapping the egg into cotton then making a straw cage to keep it secure, and I will get a small box to put soft food into it for extra protection. The materials I have for it is the small box, soft food, cotton, and the egg. How can I start to make the project from here?
I also need help with how this project would be useful in the science field, how can I explain how the science behind this works? I would thank you if anyone will help, Have a good day!

Re: Egg drop challenge questions
Hello,
This sounds like a fun project! I really like your prototype design. The next step is to start testing it.
Here is a project guide that covers some of the next steps you might take. The "Digging Deeper" section covers some of the science behind the egg drop and real world applications. You might want to conduct some additional research on Newton's Laws.
