can i ask what specific bacteria and fungi that can decompose chitin?????

where can i find protist???

A quick Google or answers.com search will answer your questions. Try searching "bacteria chitin decompose". There is lots of information on the internet, but a trip to your local library can be indispensible, so head down to the library and take a look at a few books/encyclopedias.
