Question about Build a Balloon Car activity

We are 9th graders, doing an experiment for physics, and we have to find the theory behind it. Could you give us like a summary on what's the theory and explain it to us? Also, is it the digging deeper part? If so, you just need to tell us if its in the digging deeper, because it said like the physics behind it, but does that mean the "physics" means the "theory"?

Thanks :D

Hi,

Yes, it looks like the "Digging Deeper" section explains the physics/theory behind the balloon car.

In summary:
- Newton's 3rd law: air shoots backward out of the balloon, which pushes the car forward (action and reaction)
- Newton's 2nd law: the force from the escaping air causes the car to accelerate (f = ma)
- Newton's 1st law: once the car is moving, it keeps going until friction slows it down (inertia)

Hope this helps!
