experiments with plants

Post by bwahlgreen »

When comparing the affects of harmful tobacco vs. clean water on plant growth, what are the best (most sensitive) plants to use for the experiment - in general?

First a couple of questions - how will you apply the tobacco (generate smoke, leaf powder or an extract)
how will you measure the harmful/toxic effects
what is the source of tobacco (most cigarette tobacco is ground, mixed with other materials and water and sprayed onto a surface and shreded)

You may have to abritrarily select some plants. I would suggest lettuce, coleus, duck week and radish for a start.
