science project dealing with sweating
I have a student that is interested in doing a project related to sweating and the human body. I am attempting to help her find a specific area that she can do a test on. I directed her to look at anti-perspirants and/or deodorants. Do you have any other suggestions.

Brenda,
I don't know if the "topic selector" on this website would help her. Some other ideas that spring to mind include:
1) Is the composition of sweat the same from person to person? E.g., is the acidity level the same? What about from different parts of the body? E.g., is palm sweat the same as forehead sweat?
2) Compare anti-persperant brands. Which one works best?
3) I'm not sure what grade level you're working with, but if you have more sophisticated equipment, you could look at the chemical composition of sweat...e.g, does caffeine show up in sweat? For how long?
Let me know if you have more questions?
