Science fair is coming up (yay?) and I need to choose a topic. I'm doing it for the class Principles of Engineering, so it needs to be engineering related. I need to find a problem and solve it. While the deadline for topic submission was September 11th lol, my proposed project MIGHT run into difficulties, since it may fall under studies with humans.
SO, what [minor] problem have you noticed lately? For example, XCP rings can be very uncomfortable, and I could redesign them somehow to be more comfortable for patients (although this project would have the exact same problem as my proposed topic). Basically, I'm open to anything really, so long as it actually affects the way we go about our day. Last year, I designed a lid that reduced the vapor that remained inside hot containers, although it was odd, long, and difficult and would not ever recommend it. My only preference in suggestions is that for a prototype, the testing would not involve humans.

It's not at all clear to me what you are talking about. Is this a continuation of an earlier ongoing thread? What are "XCP rings"? What was your proposed project? We need more information if we are to be of help to you.

Re: Choosing a topic... (Engineering)
Emmerai,
Thank you for posting your question. Engineering encompasses a great many subjects, and touches pretty much every field of science. It's not clear from your post what area of study you are interested in. As John mentioned, if you could provide some specifics about what you are looking for and perhaps some of the requirement provided by your teacher for the assignment, that would help us provide you better advice. However, in the meantime, the link below is to the Science Buddies project finder:

Look for the section on engineering for several topic areas that each have many project suggestions at various difficulty levels.
Post back with additional questions.
