Hi,
My daughter will be doing the project found on this website for apple juice production using pectinase. In the experiment, it does not list the amount of apples we should be using. We are asked to use 100mL graduated cylinders so it seems like we would need to use more than one apple...has anyone done this experiment or have any ideas on how many apples we will need?
Thanks!

Re: Apple juice production from Pectinase
Hi Eskimo,
I think that it will depend on the kind of apple, but I found a reference in a juicing book that suggests there are approximately 320 ml of juice in a pound of apples. There was no indication of the type of apple used in making this estimate. Good luck.
Cheers,
Emily
