Earthworm diet
I'm planning to do a project on how different diets affect earthworms (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p041.shtml)and I've been trying to find out the nutritional requirements that earthworms need. So far I've only found that they eat almost any organic matters and that they also need microscopic organisms that live on those food such as algae, fungi and bacteria. What I want to know and still can't find out is the specific nutrients they need, like how much protein, carbohydrate, vitamins, minerals, fats, etc. Thanks a lot!!!

Re: Earthworm diet
Hi ployyy,
This is a fun and interesting project! I think an internet search for "earthworm nutritional requirements" will help you research the answer to your question. For example, I found this site with a quick search: http://www.vermiculture.ca/all_about_worms.htm
You could also try researching the topic as part of your project.
I hope this helps. Please post again (in this same thread) if you have more questions.
