Need help with backround worksheet question.
I'm doing a science project on Do warmer seas make stronger hurricanes, my teacher gave the class a backround research plan worksheet. I'm stuck on the bottom where it says substitute your keywords for the blanks in the previous column. Write down the relevant questions and use them to guide your backround research. This project topic was changed from do hurricanes cool the ocean to Do warmer seas make stronger hurricanes

Re: Need help with backround worksheet question.
Hi,
It's a little hard to answer a specific question like yours without seeing your worksheet. I assume you will be searching for information about whether hurricanes cool the ocean online, so that's probably where the keywords come in for a Google search. You could simply type in the query "do hurricanes cool oceans" and see what you get. Some of the obvious keywords that come to mind would be: storm, hurricane, ocean, water, temperature, cooling, measurement, global, atmospheric.
I would just do some googling first to get an idea what words are used to talk about temperature measurements of ocean water compared to air and then how storms cause cooling. I live in Florida, so hurricanes are a real concern to me! I know they take heat from the ocean to use as energy for wind movement, so they must have some cooling affect--but it is probably just temporary.
See what you can do on your own and get back to us if you have specific questions.
Best wishes,
Sybee

Re: Need help with backround worksheet question.
Thanks, I changed the topic title because it said it slightly cools the water which it would not be much to work with.
