Cancer Genome Anatomy Project

Post by jbarnes03 »

Hello everyone! I am doing the Cancer Genome Anatomy Project for my school science fair project this year. Today I was working on the experiment and once I entered my first query it told me the database would send me an e-mail once it was done running. That was 4 hours ago.. Why isn't it working?

Hello jbarnes03 and welcome to science buddies!

Your experiment sound very interesting. I'd love to help you, but your question is a little vague. What website are you using and what kind of query are you entering into it?
Luckily, here on science buddies, we have a whole Genome and Genetics project ideas section on the website. Here is the link https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... a&ia=Genom

Please respond (on this thread) to answer and ask more questions.
Thanks!

Hi Jbarnes03, sometimes searches can take a long time, so that could be all that is happening. Also, is it possible you mistyped your email address?

Cheers,
Colin

Hi Jbarnes03,

As Colin said, the e-mails can take a while to get to you. Sometimes it even takes a couple days, depending on the amount of data you requested. Be patient, and post back here if you have more questions once your results have arrived.

Best,
Heather
